Goomboora Park is a local family favourite for many reasons. There is plenty of wide open space, large trees and shelter for shade, as well as picnic tables and even a waterhole to swim in! The great adventure playground features a flying fox and a rope play system.
Bring sun protection and your swimmers to enjoy the water hole. The water is cool and quite shallow in most areas. There are a couple of areas that drop off, so be sure you have checked it out before the little ones jump in. There is an area where the toddlers can sit by the shallows and look at rocks. Be aware that there can be mosquitoes in the area so be sure to bring insect repellent with you.
This park has a designated off-leash area for dogs and dogs are often swimming here too.
Don’t forget to bring some wood if you are planning to cook something on the BBQs as they are wood fired.
Goomboora Park is a great place for a party or to bring bikes for the children to ride around. There are also a few tracks where you can really feel like you are in a forest.
This park is closed from 7:00pm through until 6:00am daily.
Goomboora Park is extremely popular for parties and other celebrations.
