Take your four-legged friend to the new fenced, off leash dog park on Warragamba Avenue, Duffy.
Features include 1.2 hectares of pooch playground and two dog enclosures – one large and one small – catering for dogs of varying energy, age, fragility and size.
The park also has water bubblers with dog bowls, bench seats, bins, trees and other greenery, and a sealed car park for more than 30 vehicles.
There is a large and ever-growing dog community in Canberra and it is important that everyone understands their role in keeping both the broader community and our pets safe by practicing responsible pet ownership.
Before you bring your dog to one of our dog parks, ensure it is registered, de-sexed (unless a permit has been issued) and fully vaccinated.
Dog owners are reminded to be aware of dog park ‘petiquette’ which includes:
One of the features of the new dog park is the adjacent Bicentennial Trail, a well-used horse trail that runs parallel to Warragamba Avenue. There is a special crossing at the entrance to the dog park and we remind all dog owners to ensure they keep their dogs on the leash at all times outside the fenced areas, and watch out for our horsey friends.
